Introduction

This calm forest estate, off the beaten tourist trail, is a relaxing and welcoming environment.

Once a working tea estate, a group of environmentalists transformed the land into a lush forest garden - conserving biodiversity and promoting sustainable agriculture production.

Now managed by RRI, the estate has a number of different functions as an ecotourist destination, organic farm, arboretum, training and research centre.

Enjoy a peaceful moment on our estate...

Sights and activities

Arboretum: Gentle trails lead you through the arboretum and take you on a journey of organic farming and Analog Forestry.

Bird watching: The estate is a bird-watchers paradise – the regenerated forest has encouraged the return of many birds to the area. When the estate was first abandoned only 24 species were found, and now over 55 can be seen in the forest.

Take a moment to listen to the harmonic birdsong that can be heard throughout the forest on our You Tube clip...

Walking: A half day walk into the nearby village, and forest picnic, takes you on a tour of the local area.

Tea: Sample our organic herbal teas including lemon balm, peppermint, spearmint, applemint, orange bergamot mint and the delightfully sweet stevia.
